Efe Johnson, a Kaduna based poet who recently won global storytelling for impact awards by the Youth combating NTDs an organization fighting against Neglected Tropical Diseases. She first emerged as one of the top ten finalists from over 400 entries from 39 countries, before being crowned one of the top 3 winners worldwide in the category of spoken word poetry.

While this is an amazing feat, that’s not all there is to this powerhouse. She also pioneered the international organization “Enactus” in Kaduna state university, which won a national competition for COVID-19 solutions in its first year, beating several universities including the prestigious ABU, Zaria and Covenant University. She created jobs for stranded students and teachers who were affected by the 2020 lockdown, and along with the team, she went ahead to Pay 40% of school fees for 5 indigent students affected by the increase in Kaduna State University Tuition fees. She was also the first person ever to receive the “Most Inspiring Students Award” from her Alma mater.

Wait! There’s more. Efe Johnson, popularly called “Effy”, hails from Delta State but was born and raised in Kaduna. Her full name is Priscilla Efe Johnson, But Efe Jonson is more preferred.

The young vibrant woman  Runs an NGO called “Xari Africa” to curb societal issues that affect young girls and women, through events, outreaches and production of educational materials. She is also a TV presenter of the famous gospel music show “One cubed Naija” airing on over 40 channels across anglophone Africa.

When asked what words best describe all she does, she said she is “A social impact strategist” and a “Media personality”. And her life’s goal is to “Leave the world and everyone she meets in it, better than she meets them” She is passionate about social impact, young people, Media and God. And her mission, in her words, is to “Let her light so shine before men, that they may see her good works and glorify her Father in Heaven” For fun, she likes to watch movies and travel, and jollof rice makes her happy.

Efe is vocal about her Faith and credits all her achievements to God. Don’t be surprised by how fast she’s rising. She is mentored by One of Kaduna’s Greatest men, Elisha Mamman, and it is obvious she’s on her way to greatness herself.

Exclusive gist: She is currently a student at Kenneth Hagin’s Bible college, and we hear she’s very single.

We are proud to have a young and vibrant Changemaker emerge from Kaduna and we hope she can be an example for other young girls out there. Efe Johnson is truly MadeIn KrockCity
