#COVID-19: Kije Outreach Foundation In Conjunction With Kaduna State Govt. Donate Food Items To The Poor, Widows And People With Special Ability In Kaduna

The world is faced with a dreaded pandemic called Coronavirus (COVID-19), with more than 4 million Coronavirus cases and more than 200 thousand deaths globally, the world continues to battle the COVID-19 pandemic. Even before the outbreak, the outlook for the world economy and especially developing countries like Nigeria was fragile, as global GDP growth was estimated to be only 2.5 percent in 2020. The pandemic is having untold negative impact on the world economy thereby causing hunger.

With the exponential increase in the number of COVID-19 cases recorded daily, there will also be an increase in food shortage which increases the vulnerability of people.
Kije Outreach Foundation saw a need to distribution food items as palliatives to vulnerable people to help flatten the effect of COVID-19. Food items were distributed to over 200 people; the poor, widows and people with special Ability (Disabled). Also, Kije shared love by feeding Muslim children for “Iftar Sadarka” with the help of Hajiya Unmi in Kaduna State.

Kije Outreach Foundation sincerely appreciates the support by Kaduna State Ministry of Human Services and Social Development, Northern Governors Wives Forum and Kegy’s Media.
