Victory Camp International Presents: Strong Girl Campaign Themed, "Equip" With George Apeh And A Host of Great Ladies This October

The Strong Girl Campaign inspires and supports girls in the community to take the lead and influence decisions that matter to them so they have the power to transform their future. The idea was birthed by James Apeh of Victory Camp International.

Special Focus:

Nigeria’s estimated population is 198.5 million. Approximately 98 million are women. 17% of girls aged 0-14 have experienced female genital mutilation. 38% of girls and women aged 15-49 have received no formal education compared to 21% of their male counterparts. 44.1% of girls under the age of 18 get married off. The pregnancy rate of adolescents aged 15-18 is about 31%. Nearly 3 in 10 women and girls have experienced violence from the age of 15, and 7% have experienced sexual violence.

Every 11th October is the International Day of The Girl Child. Victory Camp International join the rest of the world to commemorate with it as they usually EQUIP Girls in the community with the Strong Girl Campaign.
